Mulberry Stepney Green Students Inspired at National STEM Sailing Launch
Students from Mulberry Stepney Green Maths, Computing & Science College recently had the exciting opportunity to attend the launch of a UK-wide STEM programme led by Sir Ben Ainslie, celebrating the connection between sailing, innovation, science and engineering.
The event, featured by Yachts and Yachting, brought together young people from across the country to explore how STEM skills play a vital role in modern sport and maritime industries.
Students gained valuable insight into the world of competitive sailing and the growing opportunities available within science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The programme highlighted how teamwork, problem-solving and innovation are essential both on and off the water.
We are incredibly proud of our students for representing the school so positively throughout the visit and engaging enthusiastically with the experiences and discussions on offer.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Yachts and Yachting for the opportunity and for featuring the event, helping to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers and future leaders.
