Mulberry Stepney Green Students Impress Mercedes F1 Delegates at STEM Graduation
On Wednesday 4th March, students from Mulberry Stepney Green’s STEM Academy played a leading role in the Mulberry Schools Trust STEM Graduation event held at Mulberry UTC, showcasing their engineering work to visiting delegates from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
The event brought together students, staff and special guests to celebrate student achievement and mark the unveiling of the Trust’s new Super STEM Lab, a state-of-the-art facility designed to support hands-on STEM learning across the Trust.
A team of Mulberry Stepney Green students – Saif Ahmed, Hamzah Al-Hassan, Arman Hussain, Tanbir Hussain, Amin Ramadan, Marjanur Rahman and Rupok Dhali – were invited to host visiting delegates and showcase the engineering work taking place through the Mulberry STEM Academy.
Students confidently presented the development of their Greenpower scratch-built electric race car, explaining the engineering thinking behind their design decisions, fabrication techniques and performance improvements. As part of the workshop tour, students also demonstrated a range of professional workshop machinery, highlighting how they apply precision machining, fabrication and prototyping techniques to design, build and refine their vehicle.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity for students to share their passion for engineering with industry professionals and proudly represent Mulberry Stepney Green within the Mulberry Schools Trust.
We are incredibly proud of our students for representing Mulberry Stepney Green with such confidence, professionalism and enthusiasm for engineering.
